These rural/semi rural villages lie in the main on the flat coastal
plain and have easy access to the city of Chichester and the towns
of Littlehampton, Arundel and Bognor Regis.
Many of the villages retain much of the rural past and still have
their own village primary schools, churches, post offices, pubs and
shops. Most have clubs and social or activity groups for all ages.
There are a wealth of farm shops, butchers, bakers and nurseries.
There is a good range of smaller specialist shops and services,
take-away food outlets, restaurants and convenience stores. In
Barnham is a NatWest bank and there are numerous cash point machines
in the villages.
Local amenities include doctor’s surgeries, dentists, veterinary
surgery and church's of various denominations. Secondary schools are
located in Barnham and Westergate and more can be found in nearby
Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Felpham. There are also
several independent schools in the area.
Good road links exist with the A27 running east - west to Brighton
and Portsmouth and the A29 heading north to Horsham, Crawley,
Gatwick and London and south into Bognor Regis.
